Rachele Buriassi was born in Italy where she started dance at the age of 4. She moved to Cannes, France at the age of 11 to attend the Rosella Hightower School of Dance for further training. After three years, Buriassi moved Stuttgart, Germany to study at the John Cranko School.
There, she took Vaganova style classes and graduated in 2008, taking a position in the corps de ballet of the renowned Stuttgart Ballet immediately afterward. With the Stuttgart Ballet she performed many soloist and lead roles, being promoted to second soloist after four years and soloist after two.
During her tenure at Stuttgart Ballet, Buriassi took part in the Erik Bruhn Competition and won a special prize at the Vaganova Grand Prix in St Petersburg, Russia.
Her time spent with the Stuttgart Ballet gave her the opportunity to work with world famous choreographers, and in 2014 she joined the Boston Ballet as a first soloist.
Buriassi is invited to perform in many international galas and is a sought after dance teacher.
